The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers to the community.

SASSA will probably be rendering providers such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it can be alarmed regarding the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is mainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no absolutely functional sassa status check office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The service stage designed for intervention activities a high influx of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it hard with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional assets to enable the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
